Lead Administrative Support II-HEALTH

Work Schedule: M-W 8-5:30, Th. 9:30-7, F 8-12:30/12:30-5  


Perform a variety of administrative staff assignments, including advanced clerical work in fiscal operations, processing client data and routine reports. Assist administrative officer in the customer service day-to-day operations. Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Serve as lead worker to other clerical employees.


Provide high quality customer service in all client interactions

  • Schedule appointments, create/update medical records, and accurately complete data entry
  • Utilize correct payment status for clients. Inform clients of financial obligation, payment requirements, and encourages initial payment of fees at time of service
  • Provide accurate and up to date information to clients
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry into electronic records following established data integrity and security policies
  • Maintain professionalism and politeness in all interactions with external and internal customers


Assist administrative office with routine administrative duties

  • Prepare regular scheduled reports accurately with timely submission
  • Assist with staff training and development
  • Identify areas for improvement and participate in quality improvement project
  • Serve as a backup in the absence of the administrative officer


Receive and post payments, verify receipts, and research client payment history

  • Payments accurately posted to client accounts on a daily basis
  • Prepare and submit accurate cash report daily according to policy
  • Accurately checks and submits all FA daily cash reports
  • Conduct funds accountability prior to a scheduled or foreseeable absence


Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Four years’ experience in responsible clerical work, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Four years’ experience in word processing, spreadsheet, and email computer programs. In order to comply with the requirements of the federal health care staff COVID-19 vaccination mandate, all employees of COMCARE and the Health Department must be fully vaccinated. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework in computer science and office programs such as Microsoft. Six years’ experience in clerical work, word processing, spreadsheet, email computer programs, and customer service or related fields. Bilingual in English and either Spanish, Vietnamese, or Arabic.
