Logistics Resource Leader COVID-19

Work Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm 

 

This is a temporary position in the Sedgwick County Health Department for COVID-19 Response. The Logistics Resource Leader procures equipment and supplies for the Health Department, researching and contacting vendors pre- and post-purchase, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with coordination of facility needs. The position prepares, maintains, and balances financial transactions and prepares financial and logistics reports. The position works with internal and external customers to assign new staff schedule meetings, and perform data entry and data analysis.

 

Procure equipment and supplies for the Health COVID-19 response

  • Order, receive, and distribute equipment and supplies according to County and Health Department policies
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchases and receipts
  • Research vendors and maintain a log of results
  • Assist with coordination of facility needs

 

Prepare, maintain, and balance financial transactions

  • Ensure invoices and purchase orders are submitted according to Charter 68 regulations and County policies
  • Maintain an accurate record of expenditures
  • Analyze COVID-19 Response financial and logistical data. Prepare regular financial and logistical reports.

 

Work with internal and external customers

  • Assist with requesting and assigning temp agency staff to worksites.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments
  • Communicate with customers in-person and via phone and email
  • Perform data entry for COVID-19 response activities
  • Assist with data analysis as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business or related field. One year of work experience in accounting, financial administration or procurement, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Two years of work experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and computer skills are required. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Three years of experience in accounting, financial administration, or procurement. Three years of experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. One year of work experience in data management and analysis. One year of work experience in a public health department or healthcare setting.
