PT Billing Clerk

Work Schedule: Varied hours - no more than 999 hours in a twelve month period.  

 

Accurately records and maintains the fiscal records for the County’s Workers Compensation program. Ensures timely processing and payment of expenditures, searches and resolves invoice issues, and accurately records payments into the Records Management System. Communicates with vendors, Corvel, and employees regarding invoice requirements and payment status.

 

Accurately and timely processing of invoices and issuing of payments.

  • Review and verify invoices match an open Workers Compensation Claim
  • Sort, code, and send invoices to Corvel for review
  • Match Corvel EOB with original invoice
  • Enter payments into SAP for processing
  • Record payments and medical records into RiskMaster and Onbase
  • Send remittance advices
  • Contact vendors regarding issues with invoices, including duplicate invoices, incorrect codes, incorrect formatting, and missing medical records
  • Work with Accounting staff for setting up/updating vendors

 

Be a subject matter expert with regards to financial policies and the Kansas Workers Compensation Act Fee Schedule.

 

Take ownership of documentation, processes, and procedures regarding invoice payment.

  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly procedures.
  • Perform daily tasks to ensure timely payment of invoices.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Two years coursework from an accredited college in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field. Two years of experience in a fiscal or expenditure functions, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
