Public Health Implementation Analyst IT - COVID-19

Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday (Some evenings and weekends are possible)  

 

This is a temporary position at the Sedgwick County Health Department that supports COVID-19 response.  The Implementation Analyst will support the integration process for clients into an Electronic Health Records and Laboratory Information System solution. The IA will support activities associated with new product implementations and internal initiatives and will help coordinate various tasks for on-boarding internal staff and external clients into the electronic health record products and services. The IA will help support the product implementation team with project timelines, deliverables, setting client expectations, communicating regularly and elevating critical issues to the Department of Information and Operations.

 

Application Support and Customer Support

  • Provide I.T. support surrounding the implementation of core service offerings, data integration and requirement gathering activities
  • Work with internal team members and clients to review project action items, and resolve issues.
  • Support implementation team members to identify solutions for client and vendor specific requirements.
  • Work with internal team members to communicate and manage tasks related to product implementation(s).
  • Provide status updates to Implementation manager and other stakeholders as requested.
  • Drive to SCHD locations to provide support

 

Implementation Ticket Tracking

  • Create I.T. system request and properly track the status of all service request related to implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with team on status of I.T. request to ensure critical deadlines are met.
  • Access and communicate to the implementation team any dependencies for I.T. requests to ensure implementation milestones are achieved on time.
  • Ensure acknowledgement of assigned tickets are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Resolve tickets assigned in a timely fashion.

 

Training and Collaboration

  • Create and maintain SharePoint sites for team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Host team meetings on Zoom to provide team with I.T. implementation updates.
  • Train staff on applications related to implementation.

 

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. One year of experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.  One year of work experience in Information Technology support. Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and computer skills are required. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance. In order to comply with the requirements of the federal health care staff COVID-19 vaccination mandate, all employees of COMCARE and the Health Department must be fully vaccinated. All offers of employment are contingent upon submission of vaccination documentation prior to start date. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in computer technology or related field. Three years of work experience in Information Technology support. One year of work experience with SharePoint site administration. One year of work experience with IT support ticketing system. One year of work experience in healthcare or public health.
