Vaccine Clinic Planner - COVID-19

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, may work evenings and weekends 

 

This is a temporary position in the Sedgwick County Health Department (SCHD) for COVID-19 response. The Vaccine Clinic Planner partners with leadership and other necessary teams to ensure the vaccine needs of the Sedgwick County Health Department and its partners are met. The position coordinates with external partners to find locations for partner and mobile vaccine clinics; coordinates with Vaccine Branch Operations staff to implement vaccine clinics; works with outreach and communications staff to ensure successful clinics; and communicates and documents clinic planning activities in a timely manner.

 

Coordinate with external partners to determine locations for partner and mobile vaccine clinics

  • Contact partner organizations and businesses
  • Work with internal county departments and supervisors to ensure agreements are completed
  • Schedule and conduct site visits to assess potential clinic sites
  • Drive to vaccine clinic locations
  • Determine necessary supplies, staffing and layout for clinic to ensure it meets safety, health, and equipment guidelines
  • Write and submit individual and unique tactical plans to site and internal county departments

 

Coordinate with Vaccine Branch Operations staff and outreach and communications staff to implement vaccine clinics

  • Follow procedure and timeline for clinic planning
  • Communicate with Vaccine Branch staff about any changes
  • Attend staffing and planning meetings and schedule other meetings, if needed
  • Assist Operations staff at the clinic site, if needed
  • Assist in creating, ordering or setting up outreach materials or activities

 

Communicate and document clinic planning activities in a timely manner

  • Ensure clinic information in electronic project management software is updated and accurate
  • Write summary reports of clinic activities
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor and Vaccine Planning staff
  • Assist in collecting clinic feedback and writing reports
  • Assist in after action report meetings and documentation
  • Assist in writing and reviewing procedures
  • Assist with vaccine clinic operation and vaccine redistribution as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. One year of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. One year of customer service experience. Project management experience. Experience working with businesses and/or community partners. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in business, public safety or health-related field. One year experience with data management, databases, and/or data analysis. Two years of project management experience. Two years of customer service experience. One year of work experience in a public health agency or medical-related agency such as a hospital, medical clinic, or emergency medical services (EMS). One or more Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Incident Command System course completion certificates (IS – 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 and 800).
