Equipment Operator

If you enjoy working outdoors, working with your hands, and operating large machinery, Public Works is the place for you! As a team, our department constructs and maintains the County’s road and bridge system. With more than 600 miles of road and 600 bridges we stay busy throughout the year! We have frequent opportunities for advancement at our five yard locations and we believe in training our employees. Every hire becomes proficient operating motor graders, bulldozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, excavators and other similar equipment.  New to the field? Apply for the Equipment Operator I position and we will train you and provide the equipment necessary to get your Commercial Driver’s License.
