Appraisal Support Specialist I

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm  

 

Provide support to the Real and Personal Property departments of the Sedgwick County Appraiser’s Office to fairly and equitably produce an annual appraisal roll to fund quality public services in our community.

 

Provide data entry for the parcels in the areas of annual maintenance re-inspection, Apex sketches, final review spreadsheets, new construction, and sales.

  • Prepare the field appraiser data for entry by interpreting the data and verifying the accuracy of it.
  • Perform the entry for the data.
  • Perform self quality control checks on the entry.

 

Perform data entry for the appropriate databases.

Prepare and/or assemble documents for customers by utilizing various data bases for retrieval.

  • Obtain a precise understanding of the project including what resources to utilize.
  • Collect the appropriate documents for the project.
  • Assemble the documents in the correct format.

 

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, including or supplemented by course work in bookkeeping, accounting, or related fiscal work. Three (3) years of experience performing bookkeeping, accounting, or fiscal work. Will consider any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public Administration, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or Real Estate. Four (4) years of experience performing bookkeeping, accounting, or fiscal work. Two (2) years of mass appraisal experience. Will consider any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
