CCBHC Data Coordinator - COMCARE Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic

This position provides data and support to the COMCARE Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) team by developing reports based on data captured in departmental and federal applications. It works to enter data into the SPARS reporting system, evaluate data and enhance the CCBHC program. Under general supervision, considerable judgment is expected within a dynamic work environment. It provides and implements quality Improvement ideas to the program to improve efficiency and productivity. Assists with other information technology related projects.

 

Personnel Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of project navigators.
  • Makes hiring recommendations, supervises and evaluates program staff according to Sedgwick County policies and procedures.
  • Provides training, leadership and coaching to staff, including discussion and addressing personnel issues in a timely manner.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled supervision sessions with direct reports and team meetings with medical records team.
  • Oversees new staff orientation and ongoing staff training for records team
  • Assures adequate opportunity for staff to participate in county offered trainings
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and policies for medical records and protected health information.
  • Assigns and monitors completion of work of staff, with goal of motivating staff to achieve maximum performance.
  • Conducts interviews for vacant positions supervised.
  • Approves staff time and leave requests via e-timesheet.
  • Promotes a culture of customer service excellence and continuous quality improvement through strategic planning and problem solving.
  • Good attendance required to provide support to staff and management.

 

Oversight and Coordination of data reporting

  • Review, consult, and monitor the CCBHC program data to insure accurate data completion by federally mandated deadlines.
  • Responsible for monitoring reports for the CCBHC and provide appropriate feedback.
  • An active participant in writing NOMS data collection process and procedures with ongoing efforts to streamline the process.
  • Conduct training for COMCARE staff regarding NOMS collection and data entry.

 

Monitor SPARS System Process, Data Quality and timely execution.

  • Using existing reports and reminder systems, verify background applications and interface are functioning and data is being posted correctly. Verify data entered by staff meets data quality requirements for reporting and analysis.
  • Provides support to the CCBHC Director as needed to complete team commitments and data projects.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities, as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public, or Business Administration, Political Science or a related field. Three years’ experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in a public or private organization including experience in personnel management, budgeting or procurement or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have a valid Kansas Driver’s license and current proof of automobile insurance. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and meet driver qualification standards as set forth in Sedgwick County’s Fleet Vehicle Operation and Usage policy. Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC licensing standards and pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens. Must complete orientations provided by Sedgwick County and COMCARE.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Supervision experience desired.
