CCBHC Program Manager - COMCARE

Work Schedule: M - F, 8a - 5p with some evenings 

 

Responsible for the clinical and administrative oversight of the COMCARE Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) program staff that provide goal-directed, medically necessary services and support to individuals with mental health disorders.  This position participates in CCBHC planning, development, and evaluation. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

 

Program Oversight

  • Direct clinical oversight of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team.
  • Participation in the creation of CCBHC processes and procedures relating to the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, data collection and entry, training of staff, and continuous monitoring to assess for improvement.
  • Ensures access standards for all services are met and patients receive timely services by monitoring referrals and assigning patients for intake assessments as needed.
  • Provides support to the CCBHC Director to complete team commitments and data projects.
  • Ensures technical competency of staff by providing consultation and training as needed.

 

Program Planning & Operations

  • Identifies key performance indicators/program outcomes targeted at helping individuals with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
  • Develops and adapts based on changing environments, a plan of work for the program to ensure successful achievement of patient outcomes, implementation of agency strategic plan, program development, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintains knowledge of best practices in the field of mental health, specifically Assertive Community Treatment (ACT).
  • Identifies gaps and develops proposals for meeting identified needs.

 

Personnel Management

  • Ensures that the program is adequately staffed at all times by completing vacancy notices, recruiting, screening, interviewing, and submitting potential hires to personnel manager.
  • Delegate or provide coverage for absent team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Responsible for the clinical and technical competence of program staff.
  • Monitors personnel management activities for staff on Performance Improvement Plans or other forms of disciplinary action and ensures adequate coaching and feedback is provided to staff giving them every opportunity for success on the job.
  • Meets with assigned staff for regularly scheduled, individual supervision and maintains documentation. Meets with assigned staff to create professional development goals.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree or higher. One to two years of supervisory experience. Must be licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LMSW, LMFT, LMLP, LPC, or LP.  Must have a valid Kansas Driver’s license and current proof of automobile insurance. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and meet driver qualification standards as set forth in Sedgwick County’s Fleet Vehicle Operation and Usage policy.  Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC licensing standards and pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens.  Must complete orientations provided by Sedgwick County and COMCARE.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of five years of supervisory experience. May be clinically licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LCP or LCPC, LCMFT, or LSCSW.
