The Human Resources Project Manager supports the strategic goals of the Division of Human Resources. This position performs professional work in developing, implementing, and maintaining organization-wide special projects as they relate to the Division of Human Resources and the organization as a whole. The Human Resources Project Manager oversees the County’s electronic performance management system. This position supports providing easily accessible and accurate information to County leadership, employees and the public.
Project Management
- Work with CHRO, Deputy CHRO and HR Directors to identify projects and opportunities for new initiatives
- Establish deliverables and milestones for projects based on needs, including timelines and available funding
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure all stakeholders are engaged
- Organize information and resources for projects to ensure all laws, regulations, policies, and best practices are followed throughout project execution
- Coordinate project teams and maintain oversight to ensure project is meeting milestones and timelines
- Provide regular communication and updates on project status
- Serve as organizational point of contact for implementation when appropriate
- Monitor and adjust projects post implementation to ensure project success
Performance Management
- Oversee the administration of the County’s evaluation process
- Coordinate with Division of Information Technology on support of County’s electronic evaluation system
- Work with Employee Relations Specialist to develop and provide training on conducting performance evaluations and using the County’s system
- Maintain standard operating procedures and training materials to ensure accuracy and ease of use for employees and supervisors
- Analyze usage to ensure department participation and completion
- Recommend enhancements to system or modifications to process as needed
HR Content Management and Communication
- Responsible for coordinating development of and tracking progress on goals for the Division of Human Resources Strategic Plan
- Work with Human Resources departments on the reporting of Division key performance indicator(s)
- Develop quarterly and annual organizational workforce reports for County leadership
- Manage and maintain HR-related content on County’s internet and intranet sites, ensuring information is accurate and easily accessible
- Develop documents and communications for internal or external distribution
- Proofread department documents for accuracy, grammar, and flow
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience in project management or related field. High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience in Human Resources or related field. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification, e.g. IPMA, SPHR, PHR. Project management certification, e.g. PMP, CAPM, etc.
