Pay: $72,028.06 annually | This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus of $5,000 after 60 days of employment if selected applicant meets all policy conditions.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8.00am-5.00pm with one evening per week
Provide goal-directed, patient-centered, medically necessary individual and family therapy to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance and their families in order to improve the quality of life and ability to function more successfully in the community as needed. Conduct assessments and provide direct clinical services to SED youth as requested. Provide clinical support to youth in Community Based Services.
Therapy and Assessment Services
- Provide time limited Individual or Group therapy to high risk populations to assist in quick access to therapeutic intervention, utilizing Evidenced-Based practices as needed.
- Conduct risk assessments, complete crisis intervention sessions for patients active in Community Based Services during standard Children’s Services business hours and assist with Integrated Care Specialists problem solving to address patient’s active crisis situations to ensure clinically appropriate intervention is provided, as needed.
- Complete HCBS SED Waiver Initial Clinical Eligibility assessments and Annual Level of Care documentation for patients active in Community Based Services without a COMCARE assigned clinician.
- Complete clinical intake/assessment for youth in situations where completing the intake requires it to be provided at an acute hospital setting or in the youths home due clinically significant concerns.
Treatment Planning and Documentation
- Prepare quality treatment plans in collaboration with patient and/or guardian, additional treatment team and community partners as needed.
- Facilitate or collaborate in review, updates, and progress on goals with Treatment Plan coordinator or other member of the treatment team as needed.
- Review treatment plans for patients receiving Community Based Services to ensure the plans meet clinical and CMHC/CCBHC licensing guidelines.
- Review and approve the Person-Centered Treatment Plans for the HCBS SED Waiver, from a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) oversight perspective, completed by the Managed Care Organizations.
- Complete progress notes in accordance with COMCARE and CCBHC guidelines which meet requirements for medical necessity, goal-directed therapy, and client response to treatment within prescribed timelines.
- Complete Notes for Record, Precautions statements and authorizations for release of records, releases of information, safety documents and other documentation as required and/or recommended.
- Enters no show and cancellations for accuracy and completeness of medical record.
- Enter AIMS data as needed.
- Completes discharge summary as needed.
Clinical Support
- Facilitate ICS group patient discussions. Provide clinically based feedback regarding therapeutic interventions, with an evidenced based practice focus, to assist ICS in improving outcomes for their assigned case load.
- Act as Field Instructor/Field Supervisor for foundation level practicum students gaining experience in COMCARE Rehab Services.
- Provide clinical guidance to the PRTF/Hospital Liaisons when the Assistant Director of Clinical and Rehab Services is unavailable.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree or higher. Must be licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LMSW, LMFT, LMLP, LPC, or LP. Employees hired with a temporary license must test for permanent licensure within 90 days of hire. Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC/CCBHC licensing standards and pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens. Must complete orientations provided by Sedgwick County and COMCARE.
Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of CMHC/CCBHC experience or direct clinically based service provision. May be clinically licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LCP or LCPC, LCMFT, or LSCSW.
