Cleans and maintains all building and structures in public use assuring the facilities are clean and safe.

 

Cleaning

  • Dusts chairs, tables, shelves, and other furniture and equipment.
  • Washes windows, walls, woodwork and venetian blinds.
  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; replaces toilet paper and paper towels.
  • Vacuums, sweeps, mops, and buffs floors.
  • Collects and disposes of refuse.
  • Cleans and polishes furniture, brass, and other metal and woodwork.
  • Cleans sidewalks and outside areas of debris or snow/ice.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

Day Porter

  • Respond to custodial issues as they arise during business hours at any county facility
  • Includes cleaning of bodily fluids which could involve biohazard risks

 

Special Projects

  • May be asked to address custodial projects backlog at the direction of the Custodial Supervisor

 

Minimum Qualifications:  High School Diploma. One year of experience.
