Coordinates and participates in the cleaning and daily preventative maintenance tasks of all building and structures in public use assuring the facilities are clean, safe, and operational.
Coordinates Custodial workers
- Plans, assigns and checks work
- Instructs and trains in methods and procedures
- Makes recommendations regarding employee performance.
Tracks inventory of supplies
- Accurate count of supplies
- Record of supplies used
- Order necessary supplies when needed
Cleaning
- Dusts chairs, tables, shelves and other furniture or equipment, cleans carpet and upholstery.
- Washes windows, walls, woodwork, and venetian blinds.
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; strips and refinishes resilient floors.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Three years custodial experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.
