Vaccine Clinic Data Coordinator COVID-19

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday with weekend and evening work 

 

This is a temporary position in the Sedgwick County Health Department (SCHD) for COVID-19 response. The Vaccine Clinic Data Coordinator ensures vaccine clinic data are accurate and complete and uploaded timely to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). The position leads a team of 20 people, directly supervising two Vaccine Data Entry Team Leaders and one Quality Assurance Team Leader. The Coordinator prepares quality assurance reports for feedback to clinic staff and works with all clinic staff to ensure quality of data. The Coordinator writes and updates data procedures, writes reports, and follows HIPAA procedures.

 

Coordinate and perform data entry, cleaning and uploading of vaccine clinic data

  • Ensure vaccine clinic data is accurate and complete
  • Coordinate timely uploading of vaccine clinic data to KDHE within 24 hours of vaccine dispensing
  • Prepare quality assurance reports for feedback to clinic staff
  • Perform auditing, data entry, cleaning and uploading of vaccine clinic data
  • Communicate issues to supervisor

 

Supervise Vaccine Data Entry Associates and Quality Assurance Specialists

  • Collect staff schedules at least one week in advance and report to supervisor
  • Ensure accountability of all staff through timesheets and sign in/out forms.
  • Ensure staff meet performance expectations, including technical skills
  • Ensure staff follow HIPAA procedures
  • Train new Data Entry and Quality Assurance Specialists

 

Support SCHD COVID-19 response

  • Assist with projects related to vaccine clinic data implementation of electronic health record system
  • Write and update data procedures
  • Provide input on Vaccine Branch procedures
  • Coordinate training of Vaccine Branch staff on Data Entry work.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, data analytics, information technology, or related field with data analysis coursework. At least one year experience with data management and analysis. Two years of experience with Microsoft Excel. Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and computer skills are required.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, data analytics, information technology, or related field with data analysis and data management coursework. One year of work experience in a public health department or healthcare setting. Two years of work experience with data management and data analysis; experience with SAS, SPSS or other database software. One year of supervisory experience.
