Vaccine Mobile Clinic Team Leader COVID-19

Work Schedule: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday - Friday with some evenings and weekends 

 

The Vaccine Mobile Clinic Team Leader is a temporary position in the Sedgwick County Health Department to support COVID-19 response. This position reports to the Vaccine Mobile Clinics Manager. The Mobile Clinic Team Leader set ups and deactivates mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics at pre-arranged mobile vaccine clinic locations around Sedgwick County. The Team Leader provides on-site supervision of dispensing operations at the sites, supervising a team of Vaccinators, Registration Associates, and Logistics and Line Flow Specialists. The Team Leader ensures procedures and workflows are updated and followed by all staff, ensures staff receive training, and communicates daily with the Vaccine Mobile Clinics Manager, Vaccine Mobile Clinic Coordinator, and Vaccine Partner Clinic Coordinator. Follows HIPAA policies.

 

Set-up and deactivate SCHD mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics

  • Review location tactics plan and communicate with location prior to clinic
  • Ensure sufficient staffing and accountability of all staff prior to clinic and on the day of the clinic
  • Ensure changes in processes are communicated effectively and timely to staff
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are collected for and returned after each day’s mobile clinic location(s)

 

Serve as point of contact for on-site operations during mobile clinic hours

  • Communicate with Mobile Clinic Coordinator, Mobile Clinics Manager, logistics and vaccine planning
  • Lead Vaccine Mobile Clinic briefings and participate in after action report meetings
  • Ensure accurate documentation of Vaccine Mobile Clinic activities
  • Determine needs and request additional resources as needed from supervisor
  • Review and report all relevant vaccine clinic data accurately to supervisor

 

Provide on-site supervision of staff at mobile vaccine clinic operations

  • Supervise a team of Vaccinators, Registration Associates and Logistics and Line Flow Specialists
  • Ensure procedures and workflows are updated and followed by all staff
  • Document performance and areas for improvement; communicate with staff and supervisor
  • Provide staff/volunteer training to ensure staff meet performance expectations, including customer service and technical skills

 

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and certification as a Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, Paramedic, or other professional licensure or training from an accredited program which provides verification of skills and competencies necessary to administer vaccine. OR Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and completion of an accredited program that provides verification of skills and competencies necessary to administer vaccine. One year of work experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Work experience in a public health department or medical field. Work experience training new staff.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Training and/or certification from an accredited program which provides the verification of skills and competencies to administer vaccine plus bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, emergency management, public or business administration, or other related field. Work experience in Incident Command Structure (ICS) during an emergency incident. Work experience in a public health agency or medical-related agency such as a hospital, medical clinic, or emergency medical services (EMS). Work experience supervising staff, including coordinating schedules and evaluating performance. Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course completion of IS 100, 200, and 700. Nursing license.
