Vaccine Outreach Support Specialist-AGING

The Vaccine Outreach Support Specialist will assist with outreach and coordination of Covid-19 Vaccination mobile clinics and the Vaccine Support Program. This position will promote the Vaccine Support Program through community outreach, one on one visits, virtual meetings, coordination with community partners, advertising, distribution of flyers/posters, community presentations to professionals and the community.

 

Primary Job Functions

  • Coordinate Covid-19 Vaccine Mobile Clinics with partners targeting adults 60+ for initial Covid-19 shot or booster and promote the events through presentations, materials distribution. Assist with events as needed and provide support to the partner site and vaccine provider.
  • Educate adults 60+ about the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine and booster through one on one conversations, presentations or distributing materials in identified areas of Butler, Harvey and Sedgwick Counties.
  • Connect customers of any age to vaccines or testing in their community as needed and support the Vaccine Support Specialist with the Vaccine Support Program development and coordination of vaccine support services for adult 60+ as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or student in Social Work, Psychology, Aging Studies, Sociology, Social Marketing, or other related field. Six months to a year of experience in outreach/ education, marketing, community engagement, experience working with or an understanding of older adult, persons with disabilities, caregivers and issues related to these populations. Experience, a comfort level or a drive to engage new persons, partners and people to promote programming to support the community. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.
