Manual work operating a tractor or other mowing powered equipment, including any attached mechanical equipment. Employees also do other unskilled manual work related to construction or maintenance activities.

 

Mows and maintains right of way along established routes

  • Operates a tractor or other mowing mechanical equipment with or without attachments.
  • Operates a chain saw, weed trimmer and other hand tools for grass and brush trimming.
  • Performs related work as required.

 

Performs minor maintenance on equipment

  • Performs minor servicing work such as refueling, lubricating, washing and making minor equipment adjustments.
  • Performs manual work as assigned.

 

Performs road construction and maintenance

  • Performs other road construction and maintenance work such as filling potholes, culvert work, ditch work, work zone flagging and setup.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Kansas driver’s license.
