To oversee day-to-day after hours Emergency Services and 988 operations, including integrating COMCARE’s Emergency Services into 911’s call center. To assist the Community Crisis Center Program Managers in the provision of emergency mental health services by triaging and directing workflow, coordinating care with community agencies, collaborating with families and internal treatment providers and provide necessary follow up for positive outcomes.

 

 

Collaboration with 911 Emergency Communications, local and state hospitals, and other community partners.

  • Maintain positive working relationship with Sedgwick County Emergency Communications (911).
  • Provide oversight and support to Integrated Care Specialists taking calls transferred from 911, afterhours Emergency Services and 988.
  • Provide information to Emergency Communications and COMCARE leadership related to 911 embedded operations.
  • Collaborate with community partners and other treatment providers.
  • Participate in Stakeholders meetings.
  • Educate participating stakeholders and community partners about COMCARE’s Emergency Services.

 

Assist the Community Crisis Center Program Managers and Data Collection

  • Triage and direct daily workflow in the absence or at the request of the Program Manager
  • Review closure list and identify necessary acute follow up
  • Communicate with community partners regarding emergent patient concerns
  • Contact natural supports and/or treatment providers to gain or share information
  • Coordinate follow up contacts with Community Crisis Center patients
  • Gather and compile monthly and yearly program statistics in accordance with CCBHC and COMCARE guidelines.
  • Prepare monthly reports on program statistics.
  • Pull data on request for tours, meetings and other events.

 

Employee Development 

  • Participate in the screening, hiring and orientation of new staff members.
  • Ensure all staff members are trained on performance expectations and documentation standards, as well as, administrative duties, and Sedgwick County/COMCARE policies and procedures.
  • Assess the skills of assigned staff members through direct observation of work in the field with clients.
  • Complete interim reviews and annual performance evaluations for assigned staff members and submit to COMCARE human resources staff on time.
  • Meet with assigned staff to create professional development goals -and approve staff use of designated professional development funds.
  • Meet with assigned staff for regularly scheduled, individual supervision and maintain documentation regarding the content of the supervisory conference. Supervision shall occur no less than once each month and may be more frequent, as needed to support the employee’s job performance. 
  • Participate in regular individual and/or group supervision for ICS staff assigned to team.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or be equivalently qualified by work experience or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education, with one year of experience substituting for one year of education. 2 years of experience in a human services setting. One year of supervisory experience. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level positon that requires a valid US driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance. Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC/CCBHC licensing standards and pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens.  Must complete orientations provided by Sedgwick County and COMCARE.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 4 years of experience in a Community Mental Health Center and/or supervisory experience.
