As a Detention Deputy, you will work in a fast-paced environment where sound judgment, accountability, and teamwork are essential. You will help maintain order, monitor inmate safety and behavior, respond to emergencies, operate secure systems, and support the daily operation of the facility.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Help maintain safety, security, and order throughout the facility
  • Monitor inmate movement, behavior, and well-being
  • Respond to fights, medical emergencies, and other critical incidents
  • Conduct searches, head counts, and security checks
  • Operate cameras, doors, alarms, and other control systems
  • Prepare accurate logs and incident reports
  • Help prevent escapes, contraband, and injury to inmates, staff, and visitors
  • Support daily operations including meals, visitation, recreation, and clinic security

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • No record of criminal conviction, diversion, or expungement of any felony or crime of dishonesty, or the equivalent under the uniform code of military justice.
