You will be on the move, proudly representing our organization at job fairs, hiring events, and community functions across the state and sometimes beyond! You will be the first impression of Sedgwick County to hundreds of jobseeker while bringing energy, professionalism, and creativity to every handshake, resume review, and conversation. This role offers flexibility to help balance travel and desk time, along with the chance to bring visibility and opportunity to a wide range of jobseekers. You will be part of a collaborative HR team that values fresh ideas, proactive outreach and growth potential within Sedgwick County.
- Hit the road often attending career fairs, community events, and on-site visits where you will shine a spotlight on career opportunities at Sedgwick County
- Build relationships with schools, partners, and local organizations to expand our reach and support inclusive hiring practice
- Help Sedgwick County departments connect with talent by guiding job advertising, promoting open roles, and using social media to get the word out
- Support our internal Recruitment Committee and keep everyone in the loop on upcoming outreach opportunities
- Serve as a go-to advisor for hiring managers when needed, supporting job postings, applicant reviews, and efforts to enhance the candidate experience.
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in personnel recruiting, employment services, or a related field. Up to two years of experience may be substituted with education that provides applicable knowledge and skills. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid US driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance. Must have access to a personal passenger vehicle to complete the driving duties of the position.
Preferred Qualifications: One year recruiting experience for a Sedgwick County department. One year experience recruiting for a large organization with multiple departments. Direct experience utilizing an applicant tracking system. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field. Human Resources certification such as IPMA-CP, SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR
